The Detroit Voices Screening Committee is pleased to announce the first two prize winners for this year’s Detroit Voices! If you missed today’s screening, don’t worry–there’s a second chance to see this amazing lineup of short films by local talent at 12:30 PM next Saturday, June 11, at the Michigan Theater. We will announce the remaining prize winners on June 15–including the Audience Choice Award winner!

Today’s winners are:

1st Place Jury Award – Five Windows, directed by Daniel and Adam Cooper


Jury prize for most dynamic film

Cash Award: 3,000 U.S. Dollars

Most Promising Student – Girls Don’t Cry Wolf (High School Selection), directed by Madison Douglas


The student film that shows the most promise in the art of filmmaking

Cash Award: 1,000 U.S. Dollars
